Wasted Time? Not with Toner Refill Kits!

August 17, 2009

Reliability has always been an issue tagged by most OEMs on third party laser printer consumables, including compatible and remanufactured toner cartridges as well as toner refill kits.

One of the more recent arguments to hit third party compatibles is the concept of wasted time which subsequently resonates to related costs. Upfront you have a cheap consumable that can save you as much as 80% on printing expenses but its ugly head comes with the costs ensued by its inferior quality and poor performance. Wasted time involves lost time allotted to troubleshoot consumable defects and the diverted staff hours doing just that. Other cost drivers include expenses for the replacement of faulty consumables and substrates when copies need to be reprinted.

These generalizations would have been vital 10 to 15 years ago when the toner cartridge remanufacturing industry was just setting foot on the OEM-run printer consumables market. But the production of compatible toner has gone through stringent quality modifications since then and specifications have been set very closely to that of the OEM toner so laser printer users can get the same decent, quality prints and yield.

Reliability ensued costs moreover cannot be accounted to toner refill kits produced by legitimate manufacturers such as Laser Tek Services. Apart from offering an unconditional money back guarantee for every kit; repeat customer purchases and affirmative feedback only speaks well of the quality and performance of its low-costing toner refill products.

It would take around 5 to 6 copies before decent prints come out of refilled toner cartridges but that can hardly be considered as a cost driver or a demerit to its reliability. Moreover, taking up 5 to 10 minutes of your time to refill a cartridge can hardly be considered as wasted time nor can that hamper the productivity of employees. These are small trade offs to the larger benefit of saving on printing costs.
