Lexmark Unveils X650 Multifunction Laser Printer Line Overseas

Lexmark recently announced the release of its line of X650 series monochrome laser printers in Middle Eastern countries such as Dubai. Launched in the US 4^th quarter of 2008, let us review the functionalities of this awarded laser printer line.

The X650 series carries 11 multifunction devices in its line up, particularly the X651de, X652de, X654de, X656de, X656dte, X658de, X658dme, X658dfe, X658dte and X658dtme, X658dtfe. And by multifunction, these units do more than just print, scan, copy and fax documents as smart office workflow tools have been integrated into its design.

In a press statement, Lexmark VP Marty Canning cited how these workflow solutions have helped many companies increase productivity while reducing printing costs. Let us look into the notable features of this printer series.

Organize print jobs through the large touch screen. The colored touch screen coined as the e-touch screen serves as the command center for productivity software and workflow tools which can be personalized through the MyMFP feature. Basic models are designed with 7” touch screens while the more function-packed models sport 9” screens.

Streamline tasks with its automated stapling and mailbox capabilities. Through a StapleSmart Finisher device, a stack of unstapled copies – up to 50 sheets are automatically stapled. Mailbox options are also available with the installation of a 5-bin mailbox on top of the printer. Now clerical tasks of this nature that often take too long to accomplish can be trusted with this reliable line of laser printers.

Email scanned files automatically. Users can forward scanned documents to various email accounts through the e-touch screen or directly save scanned documents to a flash disk as well as print documents directly from a flash disk.

Go green with its eco-friendly features. The X650 printers are deemed energy efficient, particularly with the inclusion of an instant warm up scanner into its hardware. Meanwhile, Duplex printing capabilities and the easy conversion of copies into digital documents helps save on paper apart from improving work efficiency.

The Lexmark X650 series of multifunction printers boasts of print, copy and scan speeds of up to 55 pages per minute (ppm), monochrome print resolutions of 1200x1200 dpi maximum memory of 1280 MB and its space-saving design.
